JOURNEY to HOTNESS ; )

 Inevitable

Well, today marks seven years since my husband and I first talked on the phone. I was told he wanted me to call him, and I did. We set up a date for two days later on Nov. 11th. Seven years to the day. Today that all came crashing down. I won't give out particulars on details because that is unfair on him, and now that things are finished I have NO reason to create any unneeded friction. There is also no reason to say too much because this is a weight loss/fitness blog, not a relationship blog. I just wanted to put it out there, because if my workouts/diet start to seem a little different, that's the reason behind it.
I don't know if this new turn of events will lead me in the direction of working out harder and eating better, since I will want to be in great shape as a newly single mother of two kids. (yikes!). Or if I will give in to emotions and fear and let depression and fast food take hold. I don't want to do the second one, but at the same time this is going to be a very hard next few months for me, and I don't know what kind of feelings I will be going through.
This is the same reason I was at the gym so long yesterday "talking" my poor friend's ear off. It's hard to work out when you just want to sit and cry.
Wish me luck, and I hope to write again soon. I also hope to sort out who I am going to become after this is all said and done.
Thank you for listening.

 Wednesday, November 8, 2006 Day 20

Day Twenty? Is that right?? Wow. Almost 3 weeks in! Today wasn't as SUPER CHEERFUL as I have been lately. I gained a pound. (I'm NOT worried, I still feel great and think I look much better) I'm also pretty sure the extra pound is ALL the water I've been drinking! Mix that with sodium and it's like I'm asking my body to hang on to a little for me! I have decided though, after 3 days of eating "normal diet" food, that AFTER I eat everything that I went out and bought, if my weight has slowed tremendously, I'll go back to all-natural. Only for a few weeks. Maybe I'll do some sort of alternating thing? I don't know. I only want to "kick it up a notch" for the next 5 and 1/2 weeks. After that, I can be normal and lose at a much slower rate.
Anyway, today I was at the gym for 3 hours. LONG TIME. Guess what? Only about 45 minutes of it was working out!! Isn't that terrible! lol. My friend Nicole and I couldn't stop talking. (ok, I couldn't stop talking.) I had a lot I needed to vent about, and it got in the way of my workout. It's okay though, we are going tomorrow in the morning and after she gets off work. I haven't pulled a "twice a day" gym day in a while, so maybe that'll help with that measly pound that wants to annoy me! The funny thing is this morning, when I stepped on the scale I kept thinking, "change, change, change" because I CAN'T wait to be in the 150s, WELL, it changed. Just the wrong direction! So, I got what was coming to me! lol. My only real hope is that I lose SOMETHING by Friday. I weighed in at 161 last Friday, I don't want to go a week with ZERO loss. Even 1/2 a pound would work. I'm not being THAT picky! lol.
Anyway, a shout-out and THANK YOU to John, who is my traineo buddy and donated to my Jingle walk/run. I appreciate it!
Okay all, I'll have much more to bug ya'll about tomorrow. LoVe Ya'LL

Weight: 161 lbs

Calories Burned: 740

Calories Eaten: 1455

Weight Loss since Oct. 20, 2006: 12 lbs. (backtracking sucks. lol)

p.s. I was gonna rant about the "annoying gym people", but that's all just bad energy. I don't want to put that out there. I'll just let it go.

 Tuesday, November 7, 2006 Day 19

HI ALL! I am having a SUPER WONDERFUL DAY!! What else is new I guess? I tend to have great days often! Then again, I'm a fairly happy freak of a person. ANYWAY, pre-warning, I will be doing much name-dropping in this blog, so LQQK OUT!! hehe.

First off: To my dear sweet honey of a friend Judy, you asked me how long it took me to run my miles. I never thought of that before you asked. I simply ran at 5.0 because it was easy for me. Then you said you ran your mile in 9 and 1/2 minutes and I realized that my 12 minutes didn't look so hot. I have the endurance, but do I have the "fitness capability" to change it??? YEP. Tonight, the first thing I wanted to do was hop on that treadmill and run a mile. I went at 6.0 mph, which for those who CAN'T do simple math, is a 10 minute mile. In middle school, when I was only 120 lbs, I ran a mile in 10:20. I would've LOVED to get under that because I feel SO much healthier................. I did.
I ran my mile in TEN MINUTES!!!! Some might not think it's very monumental, but for me to NOT even be able to run for more than a couple minutes as early as Sept, and now be shaving 2 WHOLE minutes off my time! I think that's huge. Then again, I seem to get easily excited about EVERYTHING.

Second Off: John. My loyal, sweet reader. You told me about the jingle walk/run and I have launched a full-scale attempt to get work people and friends alike to join!! I am so excited that I'm going to do a 5k as early at Dec. 2nd!! I don't plan on running the whole way, only because the people I'm going to go with aren't as psychotic as I am with hitting the gym. So, I *hope* to talk people into 'running' the first mile, then walking 1 and 1/2, and maybe running for the rest. 5k, is a little over 3 miles. Wanna hear a cool little factoid?? I named my team and we are the "Jingle Bunnies"!!! How fun is that??!! Then my good friend Nicole suggest that we paint our faces for the big day and *maybe* even sport some bunny ears. FUN!!! I'm so excited about this, and I encourage anyone who really wants to make a difference, even if it's just a dollar, to help out!
Here's my link:

Just copy and paste that in your URL. Theres a part that says "sponser participant" and you can donate! You'll have to input my first and last name, which I have changed from my real one.
just input Ashley Saunders. You can also JOIN the team from there, if you are one of my readers that lives near me!

Okay, I have SOOO Much more I want to talk about, but I don't want to bore you all to death, so I'll just include that tomorrow. That involves a creepy gym guy, (Shane and Nicole, you know who I'm talking about) and some other fun stuff. LoVe Ya'LL

 Monday, November 6, 2006 Day 18

Hello everyone who gets bored enough to read this. Today was quite the day for me. After I got off work, I grocery shopped for yummy "normal diet" food. Then later I took my kids to get their photos together. (priceless!) then I went to the playgym. (shocker there...) and now I'm about to go to bed.
We are just about done with the first week of November. How fast this month is going already is shocking. Christmas is right around the corner....
Remember yesterday when I said I did the treadmill at the huge incline? Well, this morning I woke up and it hurt like a b**** to walk! I haven't felt like that in such a long time! I love that feeling though...
Today was a GREAT gym day. I ran 3 miles again. When I'm through with this, I'm actually going to look into marathon stuff or something (someone mentioned it in a comment, and I'm going to look into it!). The first half of my running felt easy, and simple. I couldn't believe it. It was easier than doing the elliptical. How did that happen? I never thought running a mile would EVER be called "EASY" from my lips! I was the kid in class at school on the day we'd have "fit tests" that would get crazy nervous and scared. I never wanted to run! Now, I think I'm falling in love with it.
What else? OH, I wanted to let some people know the difference in my body after just ONE day of eating "normal." (still in calorie range of a diet though).
1.) I was hungry ALL day. On natural food, I lost my appetite and got full extremely easily.
2.) I DID have better energy tonight when working out. I don't care what anyone says, I think the fact that fruits, veggies, and stuff are so full of water, they don't give you as much energy as other food. Like, today for lunch I had a roast beef sandwich, 100 calorie baked cheetos, and honeydew melon, and I felt WAY better at the gym than after my usual 'turkey salad.' Maybe that's just the new flavorfull food talking....but 3 miles don't lie.
3.) I was CRAZY thirsty all day. I've had like 4 bottles of water, and i'm halfway through my 5th. I think my body is trying to flush out all the new toxins I just threw in. lol

Well, hopefully my weight doesn't go up! But as of right now, I'm really happy. We'll know next Monday I guess. Love ya'll...

Weight: 160 lbs

Calories burned: 940

Calories Eaten: 1205

Weight loss since Oct. 20th and I began being fitness psycho!: 13 lbs

Weight loss since "starting diet and exercise" Sept. 8th, 2006: 25 lbs

 QUICK POST

Today I'm getting off my ALL-NATURAL food kick!
I felt like it was going to be a really hard step, so I went and spent lots of money on all the food. I can't sit there and avoid eating it after that!
So I did.
I'm sure my weight will come off a little slower now, BUT, I lost a pound today, so at least I'm starting lower. lol. haha
