JOURNEY to HOTNESS ; )


 YEA!
 

So, last night I had a GREAT weekend. I started running....and running...and running....and running! Usually I aim to run at least 1 mile everytime I work out. Yesterday I ran 4 and 3/4 miles (for 55 min) I was running at 5.0, then put it up to 5.2, then for the last 20 minutes bumped it all the way to 6.0...i was just feeling light on my feet! So, that was pretty great!!!!
So, here it is May 24th. There's only one week left in this month and then it's JUNE. Wow. It's all going by so fast!!
I'm about to run upstairs and take my weekly progress pics...I hope everyone has a good day...I'm having a pretty great one myself!

 Annoyed no more!
 

So, after I accepted the fact that I DON'T care how long it takes me to lose weight, it was almost like a mental magic bullet. Now, I'm feeling SUPER fit AND the weight is coming off again. And...if it stops again...that's fine.
I'm really excited to take my progress pictures later this week. I see differences every day that I wake up AND now I'm starting to see them in my clothes much easier. Yesterday when I went to the gym I wore a size SMALL fitness shirt from Ladies Foot Locker. (so it was size small girls, not boys) AND some tight black pants. Just as soon as last month I HAD to wear a loose shirt because when I started running, I didn't want people to see my belly jiggling up and down and my butt flapping all over the place (wonderful visual, huh? lol) But, yesterday I realized I looked "fit" in these clothes and NOT flappy. lol. Or at least "I" think so, and that's all that matters.
I don't rememeber the last time I was blogging and got down to the mid 150s, but I'm happy that it's finally happening again! But, ok, that's it for me for today. Not much else I can think of for right now. But I'll write more later if need-be. Take care!

*edited* oh, and i just checked...the last time I was mid-150s was back in the beginning of March. Before I even got SERIOUS about getting back into shape. So, "yea!" me and I know that I will only get smaller, so WOO-HOO.

I am starting to get aggrevated.
Yes I KNOW, I wasn't going to weigh myself, but after SUCH a great, healthy weekend, I thought MAYBE I'd have something to show for it.
Nope.
I CAN'T get away from 157.

well, i wrote that earlier, but after a nice long walk to and from the gym and some "thinking" time I realized that if I do EVERYTHING right, EVENTUALLY i will hit ALL my goals. Why am I in such a rush anyway? Me hoping to lose weight everyday simply crushes me when I don't. So...I'm just going to let my body do it's thing. I know that I'm only making everything better by eating clean and working out...so ONLY good things can happen from that.
OH...I have another yummy recipe if anyone is interested. Ground up some turkey (93% or 97% works) and when it's cooked all the way add 1/4 cup skim milk and a ranch seasoning packet. Mix all of this together. Get a pita ready and line the inside with 'laughing cow' cheese (you can get a container of these light YUMMY wedges from the cheese aisle). Then add your turkey inside. Voila! Super tasty and flavorful and if you have an entire pita with 4 oz of turkey that's 97% lean, that's less than 300 calories, so for a meal you can add (like I did tonight) apples with melted 'natural peanut butter' carrots and ranch and grapes.
YUM.
Okay, my weekend was a success. And I'm reading 'YOU the body manual' or something by the Memet Oz guy from the Oprah show. So far, it's cute, funny, and informative. I think I'll get 'YOU: on a diet' next just because usually when I am doing everything else healthy I like READING healthful things too.

 Talk about a weekend at the gym!
 

So yesterday I did a good thing, for the most part. Instead of eating away my annoyedness (is that a word??) about GAINING and not losing when I was eating perfect and working out, I hit the gym. I hit it HARD.
I was there for about 4 and 1/2 hours last night. Apart from having NOTHING better to do, I kind of wanted to push myself a little more than usual. Just wanted to work, work, work and KEEP working. Thought it'd make me feel better. Well, I woke up today and was only down.4, that didn't make me feel better, but I'm gonna attempt to NOT weigh myself for a week again (wish me luck............) because I HATE how it seems to make me feel. I'm getting all these fun muscles my butt is attempting to defy gravity, yet I'm looking at the number that stares up at me and letting it define me. I KNOW better, but I need to STOP.
Ug.
Okay, enough annoying rambling. I just got home from the gym for today. I'm about to have some yummy dinner. And by yummy, I mean white ground turkey that I form into a steak-like thing and grill...it is pretty yummy. I spice it up with garlic and stuff and usually put some veggie on the side.
What else for today? Um. nothing.

 Annoyed. Boo.
 

So today is my annoying day for the month.
I woke up and just had this *weird* feeling that if I stepped on the scale it'd show a gain, (EVENTHOUGH yesterday I ate 1500 cals and burned 1050 at the gym...) I just felt off. So, I stepped on and of course it was right back up to 157.4
I knew that 156 felt too good to be true. Urg. That's so annoying. I HATE when I do NOTHING wrong and GAIN weight.
Ug.
Anyway, of course when that usually happens, I come downstairs and WANT to fill my face and have the "screw it" attitude, but I didn't. (eventhough we still have cookie dough in the fridge. lol) Another thing to get me down was that I planned on going to Fargo tomorrow to do a 5k run but Shane's grandparents need help moving tomorrow and since we ONLY have the one vehicle now between the two of us, I had no choice but to let him go to do what he needs to for his family. One good thing that's going to come out of that is that he'll be gone from tonight until Sunday (also visiting his parents and sister and they're gonna watch the kids while he helps with the moving stuff) and I'm....well, I'm staying here.

So, I have this whole weekend to myself. No temptations, and as long as I don't mind walking to and from the gym (which I don't--3 extra miles never hurt anyone) then I can workout as much as I want this whole weekend. Maybe this is what I need after a strange little gain. I need some "me" time.
Well, that's the plan.
