JOURNEY to HOTNESS ; )

good evening.
Well, just as I assumed, I made my last mini-goal. I wanted to be 150.8 and surpassed that this morning.
But that's good, since now I'm aiming for my 4th of July goal!
I haven't gone to the gym yet, lately I've been going at about 930 at night. I weight train every other day, so today that will give me an hour of weight training and 1 and 1/2 of cardio! Phew...
Finals are tonight! (b-ball) Last time I was doing my cardio and it was SO close at the end I was yelling at the tv. It was funny. There was another guy in the cardio area that was too though, so I didn't feel too goofy.
So...the 140s. I cannot believe they are so close. For so long I looked at that as a place I didn't feel I could get back to easily. Now here I MIGHT be there tomorrow when I wake up. I'm not expecting it...I'm just letting my body do what it wants to do.
In other news, I might be doing another Pracs study. If I do, i check in on this upcoming Monday for 10 and 1/2 days! (basically the same thing I did before) and the same great pay. ONLY thing that sucks?? Aside from being away from my kids and not having control over my food?? NO GYM. I've become addicted to working out. My days will feel so different!

Ugh.
Just got home from my night time workout. Reminder to self...don't wear a white t-shirt on days you plan to run...I feel naked. lol
I had a really good workout though, I ran over 3 miles and didn't have any knee/leg/foot pain (lately I'd cut my run short out of discomfort) OH, and I downloaded new songs on my mp3, so that helped me run a lot longer too. My Humps by Black Eyed Peas, Fighter by Christina Aguilera and FutureSex/Love Sounds by Justin Timberlake helped carry me through the moments of tiredness that I had to push away. I like running to songs that are either angry (christina) or with a really fun beat to keep me into the music and not the movements that I'm doing.
Let's see...nothing really new today. It looks like I won't really have a loss for the week, but more like just balance out..so that's okay. It's better than a gain...and even losing 1/2 a pound is better than nothing. Besides, I feel like next week I should be in the 140s...so that's pretty exciting.
I think I need to re-evaluate my b-day goal. I'm thinking that unless I kill myself DAILY that it's pretty impossible for my body to lose 30 lbs in less than 2 months. I want to be a little more realistic. Also...I know that the closer my body gets to it's ideal weight the harder the pounds will come off. If I'm 151 right now...my b-day goal can be 131. That's still PLENTY ambitious, still a "goal" but not as unrealistic as the 122. As of my current mini-goal of hitting 150.8 by this upcoming Saturday...I think it won't be a problem. So...I'm going to go ahead and do a new one, since I don't plan on screwing up this week and can't see me not making this weekend goal just fine.
New goal will be for July 4th. Barbeque Day!! I'd love to be able to wear something fun and sleeveless! Since that's EXACTLY 3 weeks away...I'm going to aim for 6 lbs by then (Putting me at 145.2) I'd feel great and 2 lbs/ a week isn't CRAZY...just hard enough to work out all the time! :)

 Survived Party and Bar
 

This weekend was a good test for me. I was going AWAY from my gym (comfort zone) AND was going to be surrounded by food (party) and friends and family. Plus there's road food, since I was driving EVERYWHERE and LOTS of temptation.
I survived. I was actually pretty proud of myself. When stopping for gas I stocked up on water, string cheese, and nuts to snack on. My best friend and I (nicole) brought a veggie tray AND a fruit tray to my sis's party. (i did have some bad food there...but NOT alot, just a few handfuls). No one opened the fruit tray, so we snuck it back to my jeep and had it on the ride back to her town the next morning for breakfast!
So...here was my weekend:
Friday with a hectic and BUSY day I still made time to hit the playgym EVENTHOUGH it was only for an hour...but I made it count by running and challenging myself. Saturday: I woke up after ONLY 4 hours of sleep to drive 1.5 hours away to drop my friend off and hit the other base gym I USED to go to all the time. ( I was DETERMINED!) Then Saturday night, the friends were drinking and I had 5 Diet Cokes. Okay...so I usually don't drink diet coke, but I was pretty bored and needed to occupy myself since my buddies were getting drunk and being crazy. Then we went out to "drunk breakfast"...I didn't get anything. :) Sunday morning: woke up TIRED and after only FIVE hours of sleep I still hit the gym AGAIN, but since I had a pracs screening I had to take it easy (you aren't supposed to do anything strenous, but I didn't like the idea of NO workout...so I did really simple elliptical and walking). Monday was the only day I didn't workout...and I didn't eat bad driving the almost 5 hours home. I did eat a little bad after I was home and after some grocery shopping...but I think I MORE than made up for it with my CRAZY workout tonight. :)
So...there was my weekend. Funny enough, I ACTUALLY hit my sis's party weight goal! Friday morning I weighed in at 151.0 exactly! Although this morning I did show a small gain...I know it was just because I had pizza last night. Hopefully by the end of the week it all evens itself out...but I'm not worried.
Okay, hope you guys had a great weekend. I'm on my way to the 140s and it's only going to get better and better! Love ya'll!

I wanted to include a photo (here is me at probably 150ish lbs...this weekend BEFORE the pizza, lol) I was wearing a dress, which I hadn't done since my wedding....almost 6 years ago...and it should be known that my wedding dress was really long....haven't worn a dress to show my legs since my sister graduated high school...so that's uh, like 7 years. WOW huh? But, I didn't end up wearing it for the night. I think it looks pretty nice from the front...but on the side I looked a few months pregnant because of my kangaroo pouch after having my baby. I was wearing control top pantyhose and USUALLY i suck in my kangaroo pouch, but since the pantyhose were so tight...I couldn't and was left with a little "pregnant" looking belly. TRUST me, I'm not being vain. You can ask my friend Nicole...from the side I DID look pregnant, she admitted it...and that's ok...one day I'll get a tummy tuck!!! :)

 and here comes the weekend..
 

So, tomorrow (today if you consider the time) is my sis's b-day. I will be driving 4.5 hours out to go visit her, staying for 3 days and driving back. Lots of fun driving...
I'm going to ATTEMPT to hit the gym tomorrow before I leave. (actually attempt for right when I get up, I'll clothe the kids and try to head up to the playgym) Then, this weekend, I won't have a gym, but I'm gonna try some outdoor running. I don't see "road trip" as a reason to get careless with my healthful lifestyle. If I do have anything I usually wouldn't, I'll do it in moderation. I'd love to come back from the weekend with a small loss, NO GAIN. lol. Its going to be weird though to be childless (shane is staying here with the kids while i go have fun!) and to be surrounded by friends, that's usually what did me in before...but not this time! I'm too close to my goals to get side-tracked now!
Anyway...so...that's about it from me tonight.
OH. was going to say something else. If anyone was wondering how my 'big fat loser' competition with shane was going...well, i'm kicking his ass. Since starting, I've lost 9 lbs, and he's gained about 3. He only has 18 more days until the "competition" concludes, so I figure I have this in the bag. Awesome! Some of the prizes I get are no diapers for a weekend and stuff like that. HEHEHE. okay, have a safe and great weekend everyone!

 2 months....today
 

so for a little while i'd been thinking that my weight loss was slower than I wanted. I thought maybe i expected too much of my body...but i knew I was working out CRAZY hard and REALLY didn't understand why things weren't going exactly how I wanted.
Well, the last couple of days, out of nowhere, I lost some lbs. That's pretty awesome. That makes me feel like I've been doing all this for a reason and I cannot believe how close I feel like I'm getting.
If I'm already starting to feel this great, I can only imagine how great I'm going to feel on my b-day! I have exactly 2 months to keep on shaping my body how I want it to look. I'm excited while I watch the changes! Anyway, that's all for right now. :P
